The game Dibs posted is really fun and really tough if you don't have all the slots filled. We died so many times on one mission it asked us to lower the difficulty because our "Squad" wasn't very skilled.

Essentially a free L4D, but with classes and a bit more strategy. You also dont need to worry about being amazing at fps, as imo aiming is easy.. resisting the urge to shoot teammates however is harder.

Great game and could easily have gone for $10. Free makes it downright amazing.

If you want to prepare yourself for this game, play Abuse (old platform shooter with same targeting mechanics.)

I see Alien Swarm going the way of L4D - Pretty fun when you're playing with friends, glass chewing levels of fun when pugging.

You can change some settings to make it an FPS. I might try this out, but I'm interested to see how the controls are.

Beat Mass Effect 2. Better than first one mainly due to non-retarded inventory system. Few flaws, was highly disappointed that I chose to sex up Tali and still didn't get to see her face, but overall a very enjoyable game.

Also - Installed "Mini Ninjas" and "Thief". Thief is too dated for me to play right now, and Mini Ninjas sound doesn't work. Not sure what's next.

Another Edit -

Dawn of War 2's Last Stand game is more fun than I thought it would be. I'll pick up the xpac next time it goes on sale for $10 or less.
Saints Row 2 is like all the good parts of GTA without some of the annoying parts. If you like GTA I recommend it. I'm only ~5 hours in though.

Tropico 3 is a really fun "SimCity" type game. Basically you're a dictator that takes over a Carribean island and you plan its development. Smaller scale than SimCity, as your population maxes out at about 300 most games, but you have an army and shit too. Lots of humor in it as well, I give it 3 thumbs up.

Saints Row 2 is fantastic and much better than GTAIV.

Borderlands is so repetitive. I tried playing it multiplayer again and I just didn't really enjoy it. I've heard the General Knoxx DLC is fun, but it doesn't seem like I'll get there.

I might have to try Tropico. I've been looking for something different in the strategy/RTS vein of games.

I've currently started DoW2 (again) and will move onto the expansion when I complete the original campaign. I've also made some headway into Torchlight, I think I'm level 18 and close to halfway through the game (Floor 15). It's great o be able to play for 15 minutes and actually make some progress!

I'm hoping to pick up a PS3 or 360 soon. There are too many good games out on the consoles that I can't ignore anymore. After watching all the news from GamesCom last week, I really feel behind when it comes to console gaming. I'm particularly looking forward to the new Castlevania, it looks pretty amazing.

Other games I'm looking forward to (released and unreleased):
Civ 5
DoW: Chaos Rising and Retribution
Starcraft 2
Witcher 2
Gran Turismo 5
Brink
Rage
EQ2 - Velious expac (although I haven't played in awhile, no more time!)

There's more that I can't remember! Time to win the lottery...

Seconded, and I'm a HUGE Castlevania fan.

It's funny, I figured this autumn would be pretty dry for me game-wise, but all of a sudden there's a new Metroid, Castlevania and Halo Reach...

MOUNT AND BLADE is on sale. I highly recommend picking it up if you like Dynasty Warrior style games. I talked it up more earlier this thread.

UNFORTUNATELY I can't comment on if you should get Warband, I played before it came out.

No kidding, right? Just browsing through the Coming Soon section, there's a lot more that I didn't post above.

On a different note, I started up Dragon Age again. So now I've got Dragon Age, DoW2, and Torchlight going. And, of course, there's always EQ2 but that's been on the backburner for the past month or so due to time constraints and not having enough room for 2 monitors on my desk (no multi-boxing with a single monitor).

I need to buy some lottery tickets...

I've also been playing the Clone Wars Adventure and DCOnline beta. It's been semi-entertaining to dink around with at work while the computer is chugging away.
